As you would expect, the highest number of medical assistant jobs are found in the Denver area. This is followed by Colorado Springs, Fort Collins and Boulder in that order.

What is interesting to note is the average salary data. The Denver area does not have the highest salary. The North Central part of the state outside a metropolitan area has the highest average salary at $42,270.

The lowest salary area is the East and South nonmetropolitan area at $25,580. The state overall has quite a wide range of salaries as an be seen from the table.
