Medical Assistant Salary and Jobs Information for Hawaii

Hawaii State SealFirst of all if you live and work in Hawaii you have to be among the luckiest people around. If you’re looking for a medical assistant’s job in Hawaii then there is good news and not such good news.

First the good news is that the state ranks 4th in the country for the highest average annual salary for medical assistants. Overall the state has an average salary of $34,780. This undoubtedly reflects the higher cost of living in Hawaii. But still it is not a bad average by any means.

As far as employment goes the news is not as good. Hawaii ranks 36th in the country for the number of people employed as medical assistants at just under 3200. Given the size of the state this is not out of line. So while there may not be as many jobs as in other states the average salary is very good.
